Hello, my name is Sofia Albee.
I was born in New York and grew up in Russia. Now I live in Montenegro.
My life has always been filled with travel and new connections. These experiences allow me
to see and feel life from different angles, which naturally influence my creativity and development as an artist.
Exploring the idea: “Humans and the World they live in”, I use various techniques and approaches to capture the essence of the diversity of relationships to this world, to nature and to each other. Using open empathy as a tool, I try to capture the psychological and philosophical realities of modern society in my works.
Reflecting upon disturbing, real topics, I choose a brighter, naive language, creating my own
micro-world. The viewer is invited on a journey not only to think about their footprints on this planet, but also to go on a journey in search of their “inner child” who loves life, enjoys “the little things”,
is open and inquisitive.
